MEET OUR PRESIDENT
Dr. Venancio Cerdeña Lo, or “Buboy” as fondly called by his friends grew up as the youngest in a family of nine. He was born and raised by his parents in a small town of Romblon in the province of Romblon. He is married to Lulu Marzonia Lo and was blessed with 2 sons, Zachary Hanson and Vaughn Liam. At a young age, he was sent by his parents to Manila to complete his primary, secondary and tertiary education where he took up Optometry at Centro Escolar University in Mendiola, Manila. He earned the Degree Doctor of Optometry in 1988. That same year he took and passed the Professional Board Examination for Optometrist given by the Professional Regulations Commission.
He began to get involved in community service by becoming a volunteer Optometrist in the Rural Health Unit at his hometown serving mostly indigent patients. Dr. Venancio C. Lo is an optometrist at heart. A licensed and practicing optometrist for the past 34 years, he currently holds the position of President of the Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists, Inc. (IPAO), Romblon Chapter. Keen on pursuing a life of learning, he pursued an academic life and became a faculty member of the College of Optometry in Centro Escolar University in Manila. After completing his teaching contract for 3 years he returned to his hometown to seek his parents’ blessings for an employment abroad. However, he found himself occupied with business and many community related activities that he forgot his plan of going out of the country. He then continued his passion to teach in Romblon State University.
However, destiny had other plans for Doc Lo, His passion for new trends and technology drove him to cable TV, telecommunications and tourism. He is currently the President of Romblon Cable Corporation operating in the municipality of Romblon, province of Romblon.
Doc Lo has been serving the PCTA for eleven years in various positions, from Vice-President of Luzon, to Internal Affairs Chair and most notably as the Convention Chairperson for five times contributing significant financial growth and stability to PCTA and proving to everyone that no mountain is high enough.
