To jumpstart PCTA’s series of face-to-face events and activities following the lifting of covid restrictions, PCTA hosted the Executive Cable Conference (ECC) and Technical Seminar for its Visayas Cluster on October 17, 18, and 19, 2022, at the Sugarland Hotel in Bacolod City.
Hosted by Mr. Treb Vegerano and Ms. Haidee Cortez-Estrada, PCTA Internal Affairs Committee Chairman and Vice Chairperson, respectively, the Regional Executive Cable Conference was successful as it was very well attended. The attendees learned about the latest community network model, digital infrastructure, financing for ISPs, and the best practices on Solar Renewable Energy.
PCTA President, Dr. Venancio C. Lo, also shared about the organization’s latest projects and updates on the cable TV industry.
The highlight of the event was the live launching of PCTA Talks, the first online podcast series of PCTA. Considered the brainchild of Mr. Vegerano, PCTA Talks aims to “humanize” the organization by introducing to the members the personalities that make the organization reliable, enduring and relevant throughout the years. The first guests of the show were none other than Mr. Cedric Sazon, PCTA Chairman, and Dr. Lo who answered a series of questions giving us a glimpse of their lives outside of PCTA.
Overall, everyone had loads of fun with new insights from the recent PCTA Executive Cable Conference and Technical Seminar.
