Fresh from its recent successful staging, the PCTA Convention returns on its 17th exciting run with last edition's chairman Philip Chien once again calling the shots. The 2009 PCTA Convention, the country's premier conference and exhibit for the cable television industry, will be held on March 11-13, 2009 at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

For the upcoming convention, Mr. Chien, Chief Operating Officer of Global Destiny Cable, accepted the challenge of coming out with an interesting and highly informative conference and exhibition. Given the need for a bigger floor space, the SMX Convention Center, the country's newest and most modern convention facility is the hands down choice.

The convention will have for its theme,
Cable TV: Making the Big Difference. Mr. Chien said the theme was chosen among several others because it encapsulates best their objectives for next year's show. "In this convention, the PCTA will be making the big difference by doing more than ensuring the success of our cable business. This time around, the annual event will be showing the cable industry's care and service to the community by reaching out to those in need and by providing not only quality cable service but service that makes a difference in the lives of the people. If we have a better community, then we can have a better business," he explains.

This early, Mr. Chien is exhorting all cable TV operators to mark down their calendars and get ready for the biggest cable TV event in the country. As invitations have been sent out to all, he is also requesting everyone for feedbacks and suggestions to further improve the conduct of the event. "This convention is not only for me but for all those who have a stake in the cable TV industry. I therefore urge everyone to participate and get involved to ensure its success," he said.
