Cable Industry in a Frenzy for
PCTA Convention 2008
The groundwork for PCTA Convention 2008 is now in place and the country's most awaited event for the cable television industry is all set for a blazing return on its 16th edition. PCTA Convention 2008 will unfurl from April 23 to 25, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila.
The Convention theme, "Cable: No Limits, Consumers Win!" encapsulates the spirit and goals of this exciting event. This year's offering weighs much on ground-breaking development and new technologies that reshape cable television thus enhancing the many services it offers to subscribers. Indeed, cable television has expanded its borders and the consumers are reaping the rewards.
PCTA Vice President and Board member Philip J. Chien is at the helm of the forthcoming convention. Mr. Chien is also the president and Chief Executive Officer of Global Destiny Cable.
PCTA Convention 2008 has a lot in store for the delegates. Aside from the informational sessions that will be discussed by local and foreign experts, one can look forward to the unveiling of new programs and exciting product demonstrations from suppliers from here and abroad. This year's convention program will include on the first day a breakfast session and general assembly of all PCTA members. Hundreds of cable operators, program providers, equipment suppliers, technology manufacturers, media representatives, and telecom executives are expected to participate in the three-day conference and exhibit.
The full delegate's fee is P4,000 for PCTA members and P5,500 for non members. The package includes meals, delegate's kit, Fellowship Night ticket, and entrance to the exhibit. Affiliated technical personnel may also avail of the technician package for only P3,000 upon registration of a full delegate from the same company. Early registrants before January 15, 2008 also have a chance to win big prizes in a special raffle to be held in February and March.

Cable Boss Supports PCTA Convention '08
