PCTA Directors Visit
NTC Commissioner Canobas
The newly-elected officers and directors of the PCTA, led by president Leo S. Wong, paid a courtesy call to National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Commissioner Ruel V. Canobas at the latter's office in Quezon City on Tuesday, June 30.
The group also included Vice President-Visayas Pacito Manlangit, Vice President-Mindanao Atty. Marcelino Agana IV, board members Amelita Ledesma, Atty. Anthony Parungao, Generoso Opiņa, and Arthur Pascua, and secretary general Anne Manalansan.
During the visit, the group personally invited Comm. Canobas to their planned induction on July 15 at Crowne Plaza Galleria Hotel wherein the good Commissioner will also act as the inducting officer. At the same time, Mr. Wong took the opportunity to request the NTC head to call for the resumption of the Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings. Comm. Canobas convened the TWG last year to discuss and come out with acceptable the different issues and concerns of the cable industry such as the must-carry rule, channel placement, overbuilding, the MTRCB fees, the deployment of digital boxes, and others.
